Carol Ann Krolak, age 79, of Sylvania, formerly of Erie, MI, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Genesis Healthcare Center. She was born on May 1, 1934 in Toledo. Carol worked for Washington Local Schools for 25 years. She was a long time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Over the years, Carol enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events, gardening and crocheting. She will be remembered for her love of family and sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Louie Krolak, Jr. in October 2013. We smile to think of him in Heaven asking her "What took you so long?" And then telling her "You sure look pretty."
Carol is survived by her loving children, Rick Krolak, Pat Elliott, Mike (Jeannette) Krolak, Alice (Cliff) Schrein and Mary (Rod) Schwartz; grandchildren, Dave and Matt (Lori) Speegle, Andy (Tiffany) Duran, Randi (Tim) Langenderfer, Michael (Heather) Krolak, Mitch (Kelli) Krolak, Louie Krolak and Jake and Jack Schwartz; ten great-grandchildren, Derek and Devin Speegle, Taryne and Lydia Speegle, Ben, Nick and Zack Duran, Ellie (and little sister-to-be) Langenderfer, Tatum and Cooper Krolak; and brothers, Rolland Rittner and Arthur Wilmoth.
