Carmen L. Watson, age 87, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at home. She was born September 28, 1931 to Obiadia Andrews and Doris Williams in Jamaica. Carmen worked in the food service for many years, retiring from the Ramada Inn as a chef. She enjoyed helping people and never met a stranger. Carmen had a great sense of humor and a quick wit who loved telling stories. Even though she enjoyed her private time, she still loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carmen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers,Stanley and Robbie Andrews; and granddaughter, Tiffanie Beacon. Carmen is survived by her son, Vincent Beacon; grandson, Vincent "Taco" Beacon, Jr.; great-grandchildren; Vincent, Vincia and Myannah; great-great-grandchildren, Vincent IV, Isabella and one on the way; sister, Lena Williams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Services for Carmen will be Private along with Graveside Services at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery per her wishes. The Newcomer – Southwest Chapel (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services.
