Carmen Haala

Carmen (Anello) Haala, age 89, of Holland, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019, at her residence. She was born March 18, 1929, to Nicholas and Mary (Guadagno) Anello in Toledo, Ohio. Carmen was a fun-loving and feisty woman, who lived for a good laugh, sweets, the lottery, and a great murder mystery. She was employed with Libbey Glass for over 40 years and took great pride in her work.

Carmen was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert "Bob". They were married for 55 years and forever soulmates. In addition to Bob and her parents, she was preceded in death by her five siblings; Anthony, Paul, Rosemary, Johnny, Leo. She is survived by her daughter Mary Meyer; grandchildren, Kellie (Brian) Beam, Allan (Karen) Stiles and Katrina (Jeff) Ryder; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

The family will receive guests on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home-West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd. (419-392-9500). The Celebration of Life will begin at 6:00 p.m.
