Carlos B. Fragoso

Carlos Benito Fragoso of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 27, 1939 to Teresa and Porfirio Fragoso, 

 Carlos was a graduate of Macomber High School. After graduating Carlos enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1965. Carlos then found employment at Ford Motor Company where he remained for over forty years.

 Carlos was a huge fan of the Ohio State buckeyes football team hardly ever missing a game and always sideline coaching. Carlos coached both football and baseball for the Walbridge Wildcats for many seasons. His players will remember hearing him yelling “take a lap” many times during practice. Carlos and his family enjoyed camping at Pokegon every summer. He enjoyed taking car trips but his children would often cringe when he’d exclaim “let’s take a short-cut” because they knew it would take twice as long to get there. 

 Carlos is survived by his wife, Kathy. His sons, Carlos (Conception Jaso) Fragoso and David (Kim) Adcock, daughters Colleen (Dave) Churchill, Nina (Jason) Gerard and Nicole (Kevin) Hollister, grandsons Joseph, Zack (Mariah), and Scotty Adcock, granddaughters Miranda (Garrett Sellers), Aubrey (Robert Berry) and Gabriella Gerard and Reese and Emerson Hollister. And great-granddaughter Shea Adcock. Carlos was preceded in death by his daughter Aimee Adcock. 

 Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 3:00-8:00 PM. The funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 in the funeral home at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
