Carla McLaughlin

Carla (LaGrassa) McLaughlin passed away at home on March 18, 2025. She was born on March 1, 1963 to Peter and Elsa LaGrassa in Boston, Massachusetts. Carla is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jeff; daughter, Maegan; son, Dylan; and her sister, Christine Holmes. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Elsa LaGrassa and her sister, Anna Forgione. 

Carla was a legal secretary by occupation. She met Jeff in 1992 in Boston after Jeff was transferred from Nations Bank in Dallas, Texas to the Bank of New England. The two of them worked together in the department completing environmental assessments and bank sponsored clean ups of contaminated properties. They were married on November 6, 1994 and in 1999 they relocated to Jeff's hometown of Sylvania, Ohio. 

Carla's family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and Dr. Michael Wang of the University of Michigan's CADASIL Research Fund. 

A gathering in Carla's honor will be held at a later date.
