Carla J Houston

Carla J. Houston, age 60, of Toledo, OH, was sent home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was born on December 1, 1963 in Fort Lee, VA to her loving parents Eugene and Arlene Houston.

Carla graduated from Morrison R. Waite High School in 1982. Following her graduation, she attended Owens Community College for computer science. Proceeding school, Carla furthered her endeavors by working at Jobts Stockings for awhile before moving onto advance in her work skills at National City Bank as a teller. She then moved onto her long time job at the Perrysburg Chrysler Corporation. Carla enjoyed many things, but nothing compared to the love and joy she would feel when she was around her family and friends.

Carla has a loving and caring nature and always thought of those around her. One of her many love languages was cooking. She had a very persevering and determined personality. Carla's presence could fill any room. Her sprit never wavered, even in her final days, she always managed to keep a smile on her face and remain hopeful.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Arlene Houston. She leaves to cherish her memory, brothers; Daniel Houston, Daryl and wife Diane Houston, sister; Cheryl Houston, daughter; La'Shanda Houston, grandchildren; Amiyah Houston, Kayla and Deshaun Walton, Keshaun Houston, Alora Duncan, great-granddaughter; Aria Maddox as well as numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614 (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 1:00 pm. at Newcomer Funeral Home.
