Carl D. Evens, 68, of Toledo, passed away March 7, 2021 at his home. Carl was born December 24, 1952 in Vinton, IA to Ray and Jessie (Kearns) Evens.
After high school, Carl enlisted in the United States Army in 1970 where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. On June 6, 1987 Carl married his best friend, Theresa Koralewski at Our Lady of Lourdes. He worked at Electro Prime Group as a shipping and receiving clerk for many years.
In his free time Carl enjoyed woodworking, watching NASCAR and working on vehicles. He had a kind soul and was willing to help anyone in need.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Theresa Evens; siblings, Art (Ruth) Evens and Joe (Sharon) Evens; nieces and nephews of the Evens family; mother-in-law, Rose Koralewski; brother-in-law, Jim (Mindy) Koralewski; nieces, Christina (Bryan) Balish and Heather (Joey) LaForge; great-nieces and nephews, Tyler, Austyn, Bentley, and special little buddy, Bradley.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Matthew, Esther, Arnold, Arlene, Marcella, Dale, Ron, Patricia, and Floyd; and great-niece, Emily LaForge.
The family will receive guests Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carl's family in care of Theresa Evens.
