Carl C. Peterson

Carl Clarence Peterson, age 81, of Maumee, passed away suddenly in his home on Sunday, June 2, 2013. He was born on February 21, 1932 to Carl and Loretta Peterson in Toledo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Carl was employed as an electronics technician at Toledo Airport for 30 years before retiring from the Federal Aviation Administration. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting and the horse races. He loved nothing more than the time spent with family. Carl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind in December 2010; son, Charles Michael Peterson; and daughter, Carol Marie Robinson. Carl is survived by his son, Carl Christian Peterson; daughter-in-law, Cindy Peterson; granddaughters, Emily and Stephanie (Matt); grandson, Jason; great-grandsons, Gabriel and Cody; special nephew, Tim; special niece, Jennifer; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.
