Camilla "Queenie" Boone (O'Brien), age 67, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, January 16, 2023. Queenie was born July 9, 1955, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Russell and Wanda (Havens) O'Brien.
Queenie graduated from Wauseon High School, class of 1973. She later became a nurse and had worked for Paramount Health Care the majority of her career in nurse case management. When she wasn't working, she loved reading, taking long walks, tending to her garden, and being outside enjoying nature itself. Queenie loved to be in the kitchen and was known for her cherry cheesecakes and delicious stuffed mushrooms. Most of all, she loved her family more than anything. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a devoted wife and loving mom, grandma, sister, daughter, aunt and so much more! Her smile, love and cooking will forever be missed. This isn't goodbye, but I will see you again…
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Calla O'Brien; grandchildren, Casey (Chloe), Jacob (Alyssa), McKenna and Evan; mother, Wanda O'Brien; siblings, Renee Wyse, Cathy (Dave) Beck, David (Tami) O'Brien, and Keith (Jeri) O'Brien; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Robbie Boone; sister-in-laws, Penny (John) Bulgarella and Tammy Shaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Queenie was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by her loving husband whom she is finally reunited with, Jeffrey Boone, whom she married on October 18, 1991; father, Russell O'Brien; and her brother, Kevin O'Brien.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home.
