Bruce William Hartzell

Bruce William Hartzell, age 68, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully, December 23, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 8, 1943 to William and Hazel (Dinerstein) Hartzell, Jr. in Alliance, Ohio. Bruce was a professor in Math and Science for 20 years at Owens Community College currently working as a Chemistry Professor. He was a diehard Michigan State fan and an avid golfer. Bruce was always optimistic, seeing the positive and good no matter the situation. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Vicki Hartzell; sons, William Rawleigh (Laura Elliott) and Philip Bruce (Emily) Hartzell; grandchildren, Michala, Mackenzie and Lucas William; and step-children, Marissa and Jordan Laffartha.
There will be Graveside Services for Bruce on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, OH.
Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the American Heart Association.
