Bruce S. Branson, age 56, of Toledo, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011. He was born on August 9, 1955 to Verdis and Virginia (Pleasant) Branson in Detroit, MI. Bruce worked at Jeep for over 30 years before retiring. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. The last seven years of Bruce's life he battled cancer and diabetes. Bruce was determined to beat the cancer and was in remission for the last seven years. His favorite words were always "Best Day Ever," whenever asked "How are you?" Bruce will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friend, "Hollywood" Ringle and cousin, Larry Pleasant. Bruce is survived by his loving family, daughters, Heather and Jenny; son, Tim (Jennifer); grandchildren, Denali, Ocean, Harmony, Skye, Grafton, Veronica, Logan and Addison; sister, Teri Turvey; nephew, Todd (Amy) Shelton; nieces and nephew, Chloe, Natalie and Lucas; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
