Brittany N. Yelverton, age 24, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 25, 1996, in Toledo, Ohio, to Joseph and Christina (Rodd) Yelverton.
Brittany attended Summerfield and Bedford Schools. She had worked as a clerk at Tony's Country Market. Being a mom was her number one priority in life. Her son, Greyson, was her joy; her whole life revolved around him. Brittany loved taking Greyson and her special niece, who was like a daughter to her, Charlie, to the park to play and the zoo. She enjoyed watching Friends, Full House, and other shows on Netflix. Brittany enjoyed looking up new crock pot meals to try out.
Brittany never gave up and fought till the very end. Her family and friends will truly miss her sassy, strong, sweet self.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her fiancé, Brett Shack; son, Greyson Joseph Shack; mother, Christina Yelverton; sister, Samantha Yelverton; brother, Caleb Yelverton and his fiancé, Alexis Dunn; a special niece, Charlie Ann Locke; grandparents, Joseph and Patsy Yelverton; cousins, Troy Elliot and Cailleigh Elliot; an uncle, Robert Doty; brother-in-law, Vincent (Baileigh) Shack and their family; and numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Brittany was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Yelverton; maternal grandparents, Herb Rodd and Kandy (Duane) Collins; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Eleanor Yelverton; and grandpa, Donald Doty.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43613, on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services will take place on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Those wishing to be a part of laying Brittany to rest, please be at the funeral home at 12:15 pm, where we will follow each other out to Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. For the safety of the Yelverton family and their guests, masks are required along with social distancing.
