Brita Eckert

Brita M. Eckert, 82, of Toledo died Saturday at Harborside Healthcare of Sylvania. She was born in Toledo November 27, 1921 the daughter of the late Pearl E. and Brita S. (Saetre) DeBruine. Mrs. Eckert was a homemaker, and enjoyed genealogy. In May of 1945 she married Joseph C. Eckert Sr. He preceded her in death Aug 23, 1973.

Survivors include son Joseph C. Eckert Jr. of Toledo; grandchildren Kristine Cooper, Lisa (Larry) Baum, Mark ( Sharon) Kinstler, and Carl (Sanne) Davis; great-grandchildren Jessica, Jamie, Alyssa, Alyssa, Ashley, Sydney, and Christian. She was also preceded in death by daughter Rebecca S. Eckert and brother Mark DeBruine.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo 419-473-0300. Funeral services will be held at the funeral hone Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
