Brinya Raevine Scott

Brinya Raevine Scott, age 8, of Newport, MI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 4, 2007 to Matthew Scott and Aubrey Jastal in Toledo. Brinya loved the outdoors, fashion designing, coloring, playing dolls and listening to music with her Aunt Tera, reading and watching the Simpsons with her grandpa Denny and playing Minecraft with her Dad. She also loved doing all kinds of projects and gardening. Brinya touched the hearts of all those she met.

Left to cherish Brinya's memory are her parents, Matt and Aubrey; sister, Vara; brother, Xander; grandparents, Dennis (Angie) Velliquette, Ray (Debbie) Jastal, and Harold Scott; great-grandmas, Brenda Scott, Sue Velliquette and Leona Jastal; aunts and uncles, Tera (Dan Guisbert) Scott, Nathan (Tiffany) Scott, Marc Jacobs, Jerret (Lisa) Jastal, Brandon (Lisa) Jastal, Joshua (Samantha) Jastal, Gabriel Jastal, Grant (Tyler) Jastal, Devin Jastal and Zach Jastal; best friends, Viola and Gracie; and a numerous amount of people that loved Brinya, who go unmentioned but not forgotten.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
