Brian C. Luckett

Brian C. "Luck" Luckett, age 56, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1966 to Donald and Barbara Luckett in St. Louis, MO. Brian graduated in 1986 from Waite High School and attended the University of Toledo. He worked for GSG and was a valued employee for many years. Brian loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Wake Up and Worship Ministries. He was a lover of music and sports especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Lakers. Brian was a jokester, enjoyed making others laugh and spending time with family and friends. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Alleyn Sydnor; and like second parents to Brian, Cecilia and Leray Crumes; and best friend, James "Jamie" Davidson. Left to cherish Brian's memory are his loving wife of 22 years, Samantha Luckett; sons, Brian C. Luckett, Jr. and Sean M. Luckett; mother, Barbara Luckett; mother-in-law, Rose L. Barnes-Brazier; siblings, Chris Luckett and Maxine "Nickie" Crawford; sister-in-law, Sherry Barnes; like a brother to, Tony and Barbara Love; and their children, Tanesha Love-Peoples, and like a uncle to their children, Anthony and Phillip Love; special friends who were like brothers and sisters, Pastor Jay Mixon, Delbert Jackson, Anthony Porter, Chuck Moye, Reed Russell, Darryl Nash, Teala Brown-Fonseca, and Tracy Davidson; special cousin, Trina Robinson; and a host of many other extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Church, 1375 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43612 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 a.m. in church. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
