Brian Henry Foster, 75, of Petersburg, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2022. Brian was born in Callington, Cornwall, England and came with his parents and sister to America in 1958. Through the witness of his Aunt Lucy Eisenhart and the experience of a near fatal car accident, Brian trusted Christ as His Savior and became a Christ follower. He was challenged to have an even closer walk in faith through a Life Action conference. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 60 years, serving as a deacon and involved in men's ministry.
He married Margie Miller on May 8, 1971. They were blessed with two daughters. He went to work for Ort Tool & Die after high school graduation. He then taught at Bedford High School machine shop from 2000-2010. He had a lifelong influence on his students and their futures in tool making. Upon retirement, he started his own tool and die business, WP Industries. He also began Brian's Excavating Service which involved burying horses and other livestock. He loved to entertain others with stories, and even pictures, of his "animal mortuary services!" His hobbies included boating, water skiing, RVing, snowmobiling, travel, and watching Matlock and Walker, Texas Ranger.
Recently he was honored to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award by the M.I.T.E.S. Association for his contribution to the program by mentoring and teaching students.
Because of his faith in Jesus he had a desire to share the message of salvation. He was excited when he could have conversations about Christ with others.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cyril Henry Foster, and mother, Laura G. Foster. His life will forever be cherished by his wife, Margie; daughters Laurie Anne Davie (Jason); Jennifer Lynne Foster; and sister Judie Colyer of Ankeny, IA. His memory is also celebrated by many nieces and nephews.
