Brenda Sue Simon

Brenda Sue Simon, age 59, passed away peacefully at The Toledo Hospital, surrounded by her mother, Beverley Simon, sisters, Angela Simon and Nicole Grycza. Brenda was born March 4, 1963, in Toledo, to Raymond and Beverley (Strang) Mitchell.

Brenda attended DeVilbiss High School, in which she got a certificate for culinary arts. She worked at the Toledo Club and eventually at Harbor Retirement Home. She enjoyed shopping, crossword puzzles, and dancing.

Brenda is survived by her beautiful daughter, Kristal Murray, step-son, Brandon (Troy) Barrett, Gardner (Beverley) Simon, Angela Simon, Damon (JoAnna) Simon, Randy Simon and Cindy Long, Nicole Grycza, Michael (Chris) Mitchell and Joyce Mitchell.

Brenda was an amazing aunt, great-aunt, and cousin.

She was preceded in death by Raymond Mitchell.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral at 12:00 pm, with Rev. Cheri Fisher officiating. Brenda will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
