Brenda J. Mcgovern

Brenda J. McGovern, age 71, of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with the Lord June 11, 2015. She was born November 18, 1943 in Toledo to Charles and Coletta (Poland) Zahner. She was a 1962 graduate of Swanton High School. Brenda was employed with the Plastix for more than 31 years retiring in 2006. A very loving and generous person, Brenda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Brenda enjoyed cooking, baking, camping and fishing.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Gilbert) Rainey; sister, Sandy (Ed) Wilson; many nieces and nephews; although she had 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, she was also grandmother to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Russell McGovern and daughters, Tammy Bomar and Tracy Shaffer.

The family will receive guests Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
