Bradley S. "Brad" Wesley

September 30, 1968 — June 8, 2024

Early Saturday morning on June 8th, 2024, Bradley (Brad) Wesley passed away peacefully with his wife, daughter, and son by his side. Bradley Scott Wesley was born on September 30th, 1968 to mother Kendra Wesley. Brad is preceded in death by his parents Kendra Wesley and Truly Johnson, and his son Shannen Wesley.

Brad is survived by his two beautiful children Aubree “Squishy/Big Stuff” Wesley (David Isabell) her children Dawson “Watson Dotson” and Noah “Baby Gram Gram” and Jacob “Jay-cubby” Wesley (Karissa Shepherd) and their children Adrian and Ezekiel. His loving wife Julie “Boots” Wesley and step children Aerica “Squirrel” (Brian Riggleman), Cole “Cole Patrol”, Reed “Rude Dog” (Andrea Susor) and their son Grady. His brother whom he was fiercely protective of, Ramero “Merch” Wesley (fiance Dena Session) his two sons Ramero “Little Merch” Wesley Jr and Reese “Reese-Cup” Wesley and their mother Ronnette Wesley. Brad’s maternal aunt and uncle Kelly and Lydia Wesley whom he spent countless time with growing from the boy to the man he became. Brad had two cousins who ended up becoming his brothers Daimian Hatch (Donna Hatch) and Shayne Wesley (Jennifer Warner). Brad wouldn’t be the father he is now without the mother of Aubree and Shannen, Kimberly “Snedgie” Wesley and the mother of Jacob, Melanie “Melvin“ Allen. And his numerous brothers and sisters located here in Toledo and California whom he loved dearly.

Brad was a graduate from St Francis De Sales from the class of 1986 and he studied Studied Political Science at Bowling Green State University. He had spent the last 15 years at Estes Express as a sales account manager. Brad was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were The Ohio State University, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the North Carolina Tarheels. He could always be spotted in some sort of his favorite teams apparel. Brad was an avid basketball fan and player and played it non stop as child into his late adult years, never losing love for the sport. Even if that cost him two torn achilles tendons.

He was always listening to some new music his late son Shannen showed him, and if there was so much as a hint of a beat or tune, Brad was the first one moving and grooving. His dance moves were one of kind, and kept the whole room filled with smiles and laughter. Especially his signature “shoulder shuffle” or his happy dance when it came to food. If you know, you know. Brad was known for his sense of humor and his laugh. To hear him laugh was infectious, and it only made you laugh harder. Brad had a smile that was worth a thousand words, and he had the cutest lone dimple to complete his contagious personality.

Brad was known for his heart. His big giant heart, that was too big for his own good. He was the most loving, and caring person. Always putting everyones needs before his own, and making sure his people were good and taken care of. To know Brad, was to love him. His presence was as big as his personality.

Brad was known for his obsession with shoes, and cologne. Brad was always a well groomed and kept man, but he prided himself on making sure not one stubble was out of place. He was so handsome and kind, and was so smart. Brad could always provide a shoulder to lean on, be the person you go to for advice, and was full of random knowledge and wisdom. No matter what if you called, he would answer. It would probably sound like “This is Brad..” even if he knew who was calling. He had the best quirks.

Brad loved his grandchildren. He always said he loved being “Grampy”. He was so proud of them, watching them grow, as their little personalities took off and created even more memories for him. It left him feeling a sense of pride to see how his children became the loving parents they are today.

Brad had nicknames for everyone. To receive a nickname was like a right of passage. He was known for his goofy side, and those terms of endearment have left marks on every heart he’s touched. He loved his two fur babies Jax “Jacky/Shan’s Dog” and River “Rivy” and looked forward to regular routine of head rubs for Jax and playing ball with River. Brad was never on time, even if you told him the wrong time, he would still somehow, manage to arrive “fashionably” late. He loved his podcasts, and reading up on different things that interested him in all different kinds of way.
