Bonnie Jean (Sweet) Smith

Bonnie Jean (Sweet) Smith, age 76, resident of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 25, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Vernon Sweet and Jean (Eisenbrandt) Sweet.

Bonnie graduated from Whitmer High School, class of 1963. She was co-owner of Guttermaker and Gutter Supplies from 1965 until 2005. With her love for flowers, she had the most beautiful flower beds. She enjoyed gardening and antique shopping with her mother and her aunt, Ann. She loved bird watching and going to the casino, where she liked to hit the slot machines and playing poker. Most of all, family was number one in her eyes. Every Sunday was family time, where everyone would get together for dinner, which would include stories and lots of laughter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Bonnie will truly be missed by all who knew her. It's not goodbye, it's see you later…

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Deborah (Craig) Wagenhauser, Daniel (Stacy) Smith; grandchildren, Tarah, Darren and Reis; great grandchildren, Marley and Norah; brother, Ron Sweet; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Smith, whom she married on January 16, 1965; and her three brothers, Jim, Mike and Dave Sweet.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 pm. Following the service, Bonnie will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
