Bonnie M. King

Bonnie M. King, age 73, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024 at home with loving family by her side. She was born on March 11, 1951 to Melvin and Geraldine Brocus in Toledo. Bonnie graduated from Woodward High School. She worked in home health care for many years until retiring. Bonnie and her husband, Ron loved traveling around; mainly in the south. They enjoyed camping, being in the outdoors and taking cruises. Bonnie liked to play cards especially Euchre and Rummy. She was a great cook and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren. Bonnie’s smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Brocus; step-son, Ronnie King. Left to cherish Bonnie’s memory are her loving husband of 35 years, Ron King; children, Keith King, Kelly King, Mark King, Karen Makovic, Shawn Simon, and Heather Simon; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Pamela (Eric) Johnson and John (Jenna) Brocus; sisters-in-law, Debbie Hulles and Becky Brocus; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
