Bonnie J. Grant, age 91, passed away peacefully at The Lakes of Monclova on Monday October 10, 2022. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Eugene and Margaret Krauss on October 28, 1930. Bonnie graduated from Libbey High School in 1948. On February 21, 1950 she eloped with Richard Grant in Angola, Indiana.
Bonnie spent much of her adult life in retail sales working both at The Lion Store and later at Licata Jewelers. Bonnie and Richard were avid bear collectors and traveled to bear shows within the tri state area to view the latest bears and to purchase them for their impressive collection. They made many friends along the way.
Richard preceded Bonnie in death on March 28, 2005. Bonnie is survived by her sons Mark (Victoria) of Monroe Michigan and David Grant of Toledo Ohio, daughters Susan (John) Radocy of Alpena Michigan and Carole (Jim) Peck of Indianapolis Indiana, her grandchildren Emily (Eric) Palmer, Amanda (Dan) Koester, Marc (Sarah) Grant, Scott (Michelle) Ritchey, Joe (Jasmin) Ritchey, and Chris ( fiancé' Sandy) Ritchey, Matt (Amanda) Radocy, Chris (Meghan) Radocy, Anne (Steve) Ball and Maggie and Sam Peck. Bonnie is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and numerous great, great grandchildren. Bonnie loved her children and grandchildren and was always up to date on their lives. Bonnie is also survived by her brother Daniel (Victoria) Krauss and former daughter- in -law Karen Grant as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Eugene, and daughter- in- law Judy Grant.
Graveside service will be performed on Friday October 28, 2022 at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at 12 noon. While at home Bonnie received wonderful care from Chris Franks and her family is forever grateful. Bonnie was lovingly care for by the staff at The Lakes of Monclova and Hospice of NWO in her final days.
