Bobby B. "Bob" Clark , age 80 of Toledo, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, where he was surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1932 to Thomas and Gladys (Brooks) Clark in Lexington, Georgia. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, where three of the years were spent in Germany where he was an air policeman. He retired from The University of Toledo after 32 ½ years of service as a campus police officer. Bob truly loved his career and took great pride in the services he provided. Bob's greatest accomplishment in life was his loving family and the time he spent with them.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Shirley A. (Gonyer) Clark of Toledo; sons, Jeffrey (Sandy) Clark of Oregon, Ohio and Scott Clark and daughter-in-law, Cecilia Bonaccio, Esq., both of Rochester, NewYork; grandchildren, Penny, Mia and Joseph and great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Brook and Jacob; sisters, Doris Hurst of Kannipolis , North Carolina and Tommie Joe Campbell of Concord, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sisters, Myrtle Atwell and Christine Wood and brothers, Dorsey, Curtis and Parks Clark.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
The family would like to specially thank the nurses and staff at Ebeid Hospice for the diligent care and love they provided to Bob and to his family.
