Bob Emlong, age 79, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in his home at Alexis Gardens surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 7, 1935 to Frank and Vivian (Alsip) Emlong in Orville, Ohio. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 2006 after a lifetime career as a Sales Rep in the Titanium Industry. Always a people's person, he never met a stranger and everyone he knew, loved and respected him.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly Emlong; daughters, Tammy (Mike) Oropeza and Bobbie (Dennis) Ulrich; grandchildren, Chris, Kemmi (Dave) and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Logan and Kaley; sister, Sally Emlong; half-brother, Ray (Mary Ruth) Emlong; as well as many other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob wished to be cremated and Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Wooster, Ohio. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
