Billie K. Charvat

Billie K. Charvat, age 79, of Toledo, returned to her Heavenly Father, Thursday, April 9, 2009. She was born September 21, 1929 to William and Grace Meredith in Elyria. Billie was a graduate of Scott High School. She was a homemaker and a devoted LPN for many years. Billie was a longtime member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Charvat, step-father, Albert Kesler, brother, Thomas Meredith, and son-in-law Larry Benedict. Billie is survived by her children, Lora (Gary) Travis,Victoria (Tom) Pizzata, Wendy (Roy) Bishop, Mark (Annie) Charvat, and Jill Onyett; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Pat Brown and Marianne Winfrey; brother, Bruce (Vie) Meredith and several cousins she remained close to.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Fred Edens. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
