Billie D. Gobbell

Billie D. Gobbell, age 70, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, September 10th, 2011 at The Toledo Hospital. She was born October 21st, 1940 to James and Dora (Eller) Baker in Toledo. Billie was employed with the City of Toledo as the head clerk with the Clerk of Courts for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and preparing many wonderful family dinners. Billie also loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was playing cards and board games or just enjoying each others company. She was also a longtime member of Flanders Road Church of Christ.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Roy F. Gobbell; son David and his family, Christopher and Amanda; son, Doug (Debbie) and their family, Jessica and Brandon and granddaughter, Madeline. Also surviving Billie is her sister, Barbara (Larry) Uland and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
