Beverly Ann Gorham

Beverly Ann Gorham, age 86, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 27, 1934 to the late Benjamin and Tilla (Henderson) French.

Beverly was a 1st grade teacher at Toledo Public Schools for 35 years. She was involved with many senior citizen exercise groups and partook in bowling, swimming, and taking walks in the park. Beverly attended Jerusalem Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was known for her faith and devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Beverly was willing to serve her church family by any means possible. She took pride in being a grandmother and loved spending time with her grand and great-grandbabies.

Left to cherish Beverly's memory are her children, Carla King and Robert Gorham; grandchildren, Renushiann and Nico Gorham, Christopher and Briana King; 6 great-grandchildren; and many loving friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Gorham; siblings, Benjamin, Carolyn, and Ernestine.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the 3rd floor ICU at UTMC.

Family will be receiving guests from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel, 4750 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614 (419 381 1900). Visitation will continue from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 445 Dorr Street, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the church.
