Beverly Ellen Case, 68, of Toledo, Ohio died February 18, 2016 following a brief battle with cancer. She was born October 20, 1947 in Toledo, to Wilson F. Case and Betty J. (Smith) Case. Beverly graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1965, and then earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Master's in Public Administration from the University of Toledo. After three years of teaching with the Toledo Public Schools, Beverly transitioned to roles with the Lucas County Department of Job and Family Services. She retired as a Human Resources Specialist with the county, and later served in similar HR capacities for the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters of Monroe, Michigan and Rescue Mental Health Services of Toledo.
In her leisure time Beverly enjoyed creative writing, exploration of Jungian psychology, and volunteering at the Toledo Museum of Art. Beverly was also a proud member of Mensa. As a young adult, she was baptized at the Boulevard Church of Christ, and throughout her life appreciated all beliefs of faith and peace. Most importantly, Beverly loved her family, friends, and cats.
Beverly is survived by her three younger brothers, Kelly (Susan) of Sebring, Florida, Kevin of Westerville, Ohio, Kenneth (Maureen) of Corona, California, and beloved nieces Andrea, Sarah, and Zoe.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her dear friend Bob Roemmele.
Beverly remained hyper intelligent, determined, and independent to the end of her days. Per her express wishes, cremation has occurred. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
