Beverly Ann Gilbert (nee Kleckner), 77, passed away peacefully, after a short illness, on February 17, 2014. She was born on January 28, 1937 to the late Leola Darlene Weber (nee Longnecker) and Clyde Kleckner in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Bev attended school in Norfolk, Nebraska. She was very bright and loved school. She received her Nursing Degree from Methodist College of Nursing in Omaha. Bev worked for many years as a Nurse in Lincoln, Nebraska and Denver, Colorado. She had a compassionate, generous spirit, volunteering at church and at school while she lived in Oxford, Ohio.
She always had an encouraging word for anyone who needed it. In spite of the physical difficulties from her stroke in 1991, Bev always had a wonderful sense of humor, and remained positive and was an inspiration to those around her. She loved reading, the creative arts, music, and crafts. Most important to her was doting on her family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her sister, Pinky Baker, and her family for all of the extra loving care and support they provided. We would also like to thank the people at Area Office of Aging, The Lakewoods, and the Alpine House for all they did to help Bev, once she moved to Toledo.
In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Richard Kleckner, and beloved brother-in-law, Robert Baker. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Teresa (Thomas) Pawloski of Toledo, OH, Amy Gilbert (of Omaha, NE), and Stephen (Jean) Gilbert (of Cincinnati, OH); sister, Danielle "Pinky" Baker; grandson, Ian; and many other friends and family.
Private Services.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Hospice organization of their choice or to The Area Office on Aging Northwestern Ohio, Inc., 2155 Arlington Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609. http://www.areaofficeonaging.com
