Beulah Lewis, age 94 of Sylvania went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. She was born to Theodore and Flora (Wessel) Shaffer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1915. Beulah graduated from Scott High School, Class of 1934. She and her husband Don were the owners of Scripture Supply Shop for over 63 years. Together she and Don shared their faith in Jesus Christ with many of their customers and friends. She was a life long member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Beulah lived a simplistic life, always enjoying what God had given her and always helping others and captivating their friendship.
She is survived by her nieces, Deanna Heintschel, Kathryn Olson and Chris Wilson; step-children; David Lewis, Shirley Ward and Nancy Laird. Also, special friends and caregivers, Sharon, Mary, Shirley, Lori and Pat. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Donald Lewis and sister, Theodora Linck.
The family will receive guests Monday from 3-5:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Friends may also visit with the family Tuesday from 10-11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 W. Laskey Rd. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
