Betty Williams

Betty Jane Williams, age 79, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on November 26, 1925 to Elmer and Lillian (Gaberil) Gottschalk in Toledo. Betty worked in retail, most currently at Elder Beerman for over 10 years. She was a Dendarah Court #10 L.O.S.N.A. member for over 40 years and a former member of the Palestine Eastern Star for over 25 years. Betty also enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oren Edward Williams. Betty is survived by her loving family, children: Beverly (Jon) Moharter, Pamela Williams, Jack (Susan) Williams and Linda (Jerry) Gruber; grandchildren: Tab and Lauren Williams, Jennifer (Nitin) Malhotra, Jacquelyn (Jason) Massey, Timothy, Thomas and Julie Gruber; and sister: Jeanette Ballard.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 16, 2005 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300), from 4-8:00 p.m. with a Ladies Oriental Shrine Memorial Service being held at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Paul S. Doerfler officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family requests that those wishing to express monetary donation are asked to consider the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
