Betty M. Mcnett

Betty M. McNett, age 85, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Auguts 28, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 29, 1928 to Jacob and Edith (Pool) Kardatzke in Toledo. Betty was the secretary at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park for 20 years before retiring. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sylvania. Betty enjoyed baking and crocheting, making afghans for everyone. She loved nothing more than the time spent with her family. Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert McNett, Sr. and sister, Helen Wilkerson. Betty is survived by her loving son, Norbert, Jr. (Carol) McNett; grandchildren, Jodi (Steve) McNett, Kevin (Emily) McNett and Todd (Amanda) McNett; great-grandson, Skylar McNett; and other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
