Betty was very active in church life and she loved the Lord. She attended many of the non-denominational churches in the Toledo area and in her later years attended Harvest Christian Assembly in Temperance, it was there that she enjoyed the fellowship of the ministry and believers.
Betty was employed as and Executive Secretary at Autolite in Toledo. When purchased by Prestolite Corporation, she became a Manager in Human Resources.
When she retired she spent much of her retirement time in prayer groups and bible study. Betty enjoyed nothing more then spending time with all of her grandchildren, especially lending that love and care of a grandmother's touch.
Betty was admitted into Heartland of Browning's Arcadia wing for Alzheimer's care in 2004. Heartland of Browning became her new home away from home where she received excellent care from the wonderful staff. She soon became known as, "Betty Silver Slippers" by her caregivers because of her singing and dancing during the special musical events and holiday programs. Due to her recent healthy decline, Betty was moved into hospice care at Heartland earlier this year.
