Betty Lee Bury

Betty Lee Bury, age 87, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Heartland of Waterville. She was born September 11, 1923 to William and Ivy Mae (Mitchell) Thompson in Clarksburg, WV. Betty was one of the earliest members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she spent many years as a member. Betty enjoyed many camping trips with her family, often camping in national parks and various campgrounds throughout the United States. She enjoyed traveling the country, she and her husband, Marvin Bury traveled to every state except for Alaska and Hawaii and that was because they could not drive there. Betty's family will remember her as a devoted mother and grandmother who always put the needs of her family first before her own.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Betty is survived by her loving children, Patty Stutz, Douglas Bury and David Bury; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
