Betty L. Zmudzinski

Betty L. Zmudzinski, age 79, went to be with her husband on his birthday on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born on July 29, 1933 to Herbert and Mary (Scudder) Brown in Toledo. Betty was a longtime member of Regina Coeli Church. She was employed with Toledo Trust Bank and Toledo Box and Lumber for many years. Betty enjoyed cross stitching, puzzles and watching her soap operas. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Louis Zmudzinski, Jr. in January 2012; her daughter, Victoria McMillin; and sister, Eunice Hessey. Betty is survived by her daughter, Sandra (James) Brooks; son, Louis III (Rhonda); 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Prayers will begin in the funeral home Thursday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Pkwy., Toledo. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Association.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Heartland of Oregon and especially to her roommate Jeannette for all of their love and care given to Betty and her family during her time there.
