Betty Jane Hartford, born March 11, 1924, in Lime City, Ohio to Julius and Minnie (Nissen) Johannsen. She was employed with Oregon Schools. Betty was a very caring mother and grandmother. She gave up so many things so that her children could have things that she never had. Betty was a kind and compassionate person who loved everyone and made many friends. She worshipped at the Dwelling Place and was a strong believer in God and his wondrous ways.
Betty lived with her daughter, Bobbie, for the last five years. She had multiple health concerns but was anxious to come home to her "buddy" poodle. He was very protective of her and was always at her side.
She will be missed immensely for all that she was and will shine in heaven and be there with her loved ones. Bless you Mom forever and ever.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rhea White, Bobbie Kosch, David (Agnes) Hartford and Dale Terry (Renee) Hartford; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Bob) Dombrowski; and brother, Julius (Ruby) Johannsen, Jr.. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Hartford in November 1986; brothers, Andy, Arthur and Frank; sisters, Margaret and Lucille; granddaughter, Terri Jo and great grandsons, Stevie and Christopher.
