Betty Jane Cappelletty

November 20, 1934 — February 28, 2014

Elizabeth "Betty" Cappelletty, 79, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014, under the care of Hospice at St. Vincent's Hospital, Toledo. She was born Betty Jane Tucholski on November 20, 1934 to Steven Tucholski and Rose Okonski. Betty grew up in Toledo, Ohio and Winterhaven, Florida. She graduated from Whitney High School. Betty held a career in retail and retired from
Montgomery Ward. She enjoyed her two cats, Shadow and Boo Boo, bowling, darts, shuffle board, dancing, and fishing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Alfred Cappelletty; her children, Margaret (Donald) Pierson, Debra Wohn, Sandra (Richard) Costa and granddaughter, Nicole Cappelletty whom she raised; 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; sister, Kathy McCorey; two brothers, Bernard (Mary Ann) Tucholski and Charles (Pat) Tucholski; and many nieces and nephews, whom will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Cappelletty and daughter, Shirley Cappelletty.

There will be a Memorial Mass in honor of Betty on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Coeli Parish, 530 Regina Parkway, Toledo, OH 43612 with a luncheon at Kotz Hall immediately following. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
