Betty J. Richardson, age 85, of Toledo, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Flower Hospital. She was born on January 14, 1927 to Heber and Eva (Clark) Briggs in Carey, Ohio. Betty was employed at St. Regis Paper Co. for 28 years before retiring. She enjoyed bowling, needle crafts and mowing her grass. Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Richardson; great-grandsons, Bradley and "B" Richardson; brothers, Kirtland, Herschel, Robert, Donovan Briggs. Betty is survived by her daughter, Renee (Mark) Spann; sons, Robert (Vicki) and Michael (Gail) Richardson; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and best friend, Pearl Morris.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider a charity of the donor's choice.
