Betty J. Richardson
Betty J. Richardson, age 72, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Flower Hospital after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 17, 1936 to Frank and Cecilia Golatka in Toledo. Betty was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post #587 and Conn Weissenberger Post. Betty enjoyed traveling and casino trips, but loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Golatka and sisters, Francis Blair and Marion Kietzman. Betty is survived by her children, William (Lisa) Dison, Jr., Sandra (Dave) Dison, Cheryl (Rick) Henszey, Carol Richardson, Mary Richardson, Noah (Kammi) Richardson, III and Randy (Veronica) Richardson; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Sarah) and Raymond (Barb) Golatka; sister-in-law, Laura Golatka; and many other relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
