Betty J. Hupp, age 85, a longtime resident of Toledo, was called home by her heavenly Father, Monday, August 2nd, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born August 6th, 1924 to Harvey and Elsie (Duvall) Boudrie, Sr. in Monroe, Michigan. The eldest of 11 children growing up during the depression, Betty knew what it was like to work hard and give of herself to her family. She and her husband George were fortunate to enjoy an early retirement allowing them to travel and spend many years at their second home in Florida. She was also a very spiritual person, thanking God every day for keeping her family happy, healthy and safe. Betty or "Gramma Dolly," as she was called by all who knew her, loved playing games of all kinds with her family and spending as much time as she could with her special grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty will be remembered for her kind heart, her warm smile and her infectious giggle. Her spirit will live forever in their hearts.
In addition to her parents, Betty joins in eternal life her loving husband, George J. Hupp, Jr. and cherished son, David Allen Hupp, as well as her brothers Harvey, Jr.; James, William and Kenneth Boudrie and many, many dear and special friends. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Peter Crim; grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Graham and Eric (Marcia) Hupp and their mother, the widow of David, Mary Hupp; granddaughter, Jolynne (Ron) Flores-Dunaway and grandsons, Rick (Melanie) Flores and Matthew (fiancé, Katie) Flores; great grandchildren, David, Kelsey and Michael Graham; Victoria and Adam Hupp; Kane Dunaway and his soon-to-arrive "Baby Brother Dunaway" and Zoe, Lia, Zane and Raiden Flores. Also surviving are her siblings, Shirley Swope, Ruth Austin, Delores Van Washenova, Laura Lazette, Daniel Boudrie and Janice Tiffany.
Funeral Services will be Private.
The Family would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Betty's name.
