Betty J. Brewster

Betty J. Brewster, age 86, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2013. She was born on July 2, 1927 to William F. and Elizabeth (Lowe) Wilson in Toledo. Betty worked at J.C.Penney's as a supervisor for over 22 years of service, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Eagle's and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and cooking delicious meals for her family.

Betty was a kind hearted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and she always put her family's needs before her own. Most precious to her was her family; she would do anything for any one of them, especially the grandchildren. Betty had a love for animals, especially the four dogs that she had from over the years that she named "Kim."

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry (Janet) Brewster, Diane (Jeff) Johns and Debbie (Jeff) Buck; grandchildren, Heather, Brian (Trish), Kim (Jeff), Kristi, Brent (Sarah), Jennifer, Jason (Laura), Justin (Melissa), Jim (Eric), Tim (Staci), Kristie (Scott) and Jenna (Corey); 22 loving great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, William "Chuck" Brewster on January 28, 2013 and sister, Rosemary Fairchild.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.

The family would like to specially thank Jim Yockey, Jen Huber, Kim Steele, Lori Bibbee and Jennifer Wilson for the diligent care, respect and support that was given to Betty.
