Betty Jean Hier

Betty Jean Hier, age 80, of Toledo, passed away February 21, 2024 at Heatherdowns Rehabilitation and Residential Care Center. She was born August 23, 1943 in Toledo to August and Julia (Kish) Ziegelhofer. Betty was employed Canteen Services and retired from the University of Toledo as a custodian in the McComas Villages and the Academic Honors House.

In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hier; daughter, Pamela Mohr; son Jeffrey Hier; grandson, Christopher Coleman; siblings, Richard, August, Steven and Julianne Ziegelhofer, and Geraldine Zielinski . She is survived by her son, Christopher Hier, son-In-law, William Mohr; sister, Mary Ann Jurski; brother, Donald Ziegelhofer; sister-in-law, Pat Ziegelhofer; 6 grandchildren many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Per Betty's wishes the service will be private.
