Beth Ann Keil age 65 passed away Saturday Nov 23 at Northwest Ohio Ebeid Hospice Center after a long battle with cancer.
Beth was born in Toledo Ohio February 11, 1959 to Joan (Hoover) and Daniel Keil.
After graduating from Bowsher High School with honors in 1977, Beth attended The Toledo Hospital School of Nursing; graduating in 1983. In 1988 she received her BSN from UT. Beth’s career as a registered Nurse spanned over 35 years.
Her nursing skills impacted the lives of many people while working at Toledo Hospital Emergency Room for 19 years and then at Wildwood Orthopedic & Spine Hospital from it’s opening in 2011
Beth was kind, thoughtful and generous. She loved to laugh and had an adventurous “Let’s Go” spirit.
She was an excellent cook and loved being in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She loved working in all of her backyard gardens and she loved Michigan football, enjoyed birding with her sister and loved her nesting bluebirds. One of her favorite hobbies was searching antique stores for Pie Birds and she had a large collection. Her other hobbies included crafting, frequenting antique stores and art fairs and she loved to snorkel whenever near the ocean.
Beth married Hugo J. Heinze in 2003 on the beach of Kapalua Bay on Maui. The Hawaiian Islands became one of their favorite places and a frequent vacation destination.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional doctors, nurses and staff especially Oncologist Dr. Walter at Hickman Cancer Center and Neurosurgeon Dr. Gable at Toledo Hospital. Beth fought and won many battles in her cancer fight and their compassionate, kind and courageous care made all the difference for Beth, and provided precious additional years for her.
Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband Hugo, sister Dana Bollin, mother in-law Joyce Heinze, sister in-law Rebecca Kaiser, brother in-law Andrew (Holly) Heinze. Also missing her are nieces Erika Fall, Seneca (Neil) Puchta, Haley Heinze, Liberty Heinze, and nephews, Paul (Tara) Kaiser, Michael Kaiser, Daniel Bollin.
A Celebration of life and memorial service will held at the Newcomer Funeral Home 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH Friday December 6, 2024 with visitation starting at 1 pm and memorial service starting at 4 pm.
Beth loved plants and flowers of all kinds, but they are temporary. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northwest Ohio where your gift will have a greater and lasting influence.
