Bertha "Jean" Riggs-Reichard, 87, passed away on December 29, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on June 5, 1926 to the late Ocie Mae Sines and Edward Terry in Toledo, Ohio.
Jean graduated from Scott High School. She retired from the Lucas County Dept. of Job and Family Services. Jean lived in Florida for the last five years. She enjoyed gardening and canning fruits and vegetables.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Riggs; second husband, Harold Reichard; son, Danny Riggs, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children, Dr. Jack Riggs, Nancy Riggs Mickel and Roger Riggs; sister, Betty Shaulis; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). A Graveside Service will be held at the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery directly following the visitation.
