Berniece "Beanie" M. Graves, age 85, a longtime resident of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away peacefully, Friday, December 26, 2008 at The Toledo Hospital. She was born February 15, 1923 to Carl and Edith (Gaab) Wetoskey in Ashley, Indiana. Beanie recently moved to Toledo to live with her daughter. Prior to retiring in 1995 she managed the Golden Crown in Port Clinton for more than 40 years. Beanie enjoyed spending time on their boats fishing as well as gardening, bowling, baking, dancing and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. Beanie was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Moose Lodge and VFW, all of Port Clinton.

In addition to her parents, Beanie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Cecil "the Stitcher" Graves; son, Marvin L. Graves; brothers, Mainard and Virgil Wetoskey and sister, Geraldine Malcolm. Beanie is survived by her daughter, Marjorie C. Kowalewski of Toledo; grandchildren, Lauri Graves of SC; Jim Rakosky of Indianapolis, IN; Amy (Michael) Hoffman of Nelsonville, OH; Jodi (Aaron Hawkins) Woessner of Oregon, OH; Dr. Lisa (Todd Austin) Graves of Tyler, TX; Kathy (Jayson Groll) Graves of Toledo, OH; Brady (Katie Hahn) Woessner of Maumee, OH; and Jill (Steve) Bussa of Camden, MI; great grandchildren, Josh; Jessica; Zoe and Shelby Rakosky; Maygan and Damius Rodriguez and Jacob Woessner; brothers, Carmen (Charlotte) Wetoskey of Waterloo, IN and Carl (Katie) Wetoskey of New Haven, IN and sisters, Sylvia Myers and Shirley Wetoskey both of Garrett, IN.

The family will celebrate a Memorial Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Port Clinton at a later date.

Special thanks to Toledo Hospital and all the doctors, nurses and staff for their care and support, especially the Surgical ICU Department and nurse, Dana.
