Bernice Mills, age 96, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at home on Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was born on March 30, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late William and Stephanie (Bardzikowska) Mikolajczyk.
Bernice was a graduate of Whitney High School. Her outgoing personality lead her to a successful career in sales at Lion Store Westgate and Singer Sewing Machine at Franklin Park Mall, which she was very proud of. Bernice always contributed her health and longevity to her love of dancing. Dancing at the Trianon Ballroom, she met her future husband and dance partner of 58 years, Cloyd Mills. In later years, they belonged to the Bowman Dance Club.
Bernice was a loving mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her son, Gary Mills and daughter, Lynne (Richard) Rawlins; granddaughter, Erica (Joshua) Pickett; grandsons, Jeff and John Bolander; and a great grandson, Jayce Pickett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyd Mills; and a daughter-in-law, Verolyn Mills.
