Benny Wallace, Jr.

Benny Wallace, Jr., 73, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 after a short illness. He was born on June 28, 1942 in Opelika, Alabama to the union of Bennie C. Wallace, Sr. and Mattie L. Wallace. Benny was a graduate of Jessup W. Scott High School. Prior to retirement, he worked for Chrysler Manufacturing for 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Wallace, Sr. and former wife, Jacola Wallace. Mr. Wallace is survived by his mother, Mattie L. Wallace; daughter, Iesha Denise Wallace of South Bend, Indiana; stepson, Randy Wallace of California; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Barbara J. Ifeduba and nephew, Stephen E. Ifeduba.
The family will receive guests Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. James H. Willis, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship Fund in Benny's memory.
