Benny Pisarski, II, age 58, of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on January 25, 2015 in California. He was born on September 2, 1956 to Benny Pisarski, Sr., and Elizabeth "Bettie" (May) Pisarski in Toledo. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Crew Chief in Air Search and Rescue for 17 years out of El Toro Air Base, El Toro, California. He was known as, "Gunny Ski." Throughout his career he saved many lives, often putting his own life in danger to help others.
His family will remember him as a selfless and generous person, he put the needs of others before his own. Benny truly adored his granddaughters, even from a distance he put forth a great effort to be a part of their lives. He will be dearly missed by his family and those who loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his significant other, Mary Redwine; son, Lawson Pisarski and his mother, Amy; granddaughters, Madalyn and Madison; niece, Dawn Pisarski; nephew, Michael Pisarski; brother, Donald Pisarski and many other family members. He was preceded in passing by his son, Benji Pisarski, III.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 10 a.m. - Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at Noon on Wednesday. Interment in Toledo Memorial Park.
