Beatrice Moffitt

Beatrice M. Moffitt, age 89, of Toledo, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Zurich, Switzerland February 9, 1923 to Anton and Martha (Huber) Breitschmid. As a child, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1925. Bea served her country as a Storekeeper Second Class in the U.S. Navy W.A.V.E.S. during WWII. As a military wife, Bea traveled throughout the U.S.

Bea is survived by her loving family, daughters, Karen (Kurt) Weidner and Kris Tuthill; grandchildren, Rian Tuthill and Jenn Moffitt; sister, Ruth Roberts; and cousin, Ruthie (Keith) Ritenour.

The family will receive guests Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 1:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 pm in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., (419-381-1900).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.
