Beatrice "B.B." was born October 9, 1923 in Catawba, West Virginia to Albert and Pearl (Towns) Pethtel; passed away August 12, 2014 in Naples, Florida. B.B. spent her early years working at the Owens Bottle Company in Fairmont, West Virginia, building small engines for airplanes during WWII; The Desert Room in Hollywood, California as a dance instructor. She also worked for Teague's Five Star Grocery Store on Dorr Street. B.B. moved to Naples, Florida in 1988 with her husband, Victor. She was a former Senior Regent with the Moose Lodge in Naples and also a member of the Highlanders in Toledo.
B.B. is survived by her sons, Thomas (Sharon) Shultz and William "Dave" Shultz; grandchildren, Scott, Todd (Julie), David (Dreama) Shultz and Tonya (Don) Fox; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild; sister, Nola Shaulis; and close family friends, Michael Angelo and John Joseph Mincieli. In addition to her parents and husband, B.B., was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 4 brothers.
The family will receive guests Monday, August 18, 2014 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 12:00 pm. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
